COMMONWHEEL ARTISTS 51ST ANNUAL LABOR DAY ART FESTIVAL
Commonwheel Artists Labor Day Art Festival is excited to celebrate its 51st year in the historic Manitou Springs! It will take place on Labor Day Weekend, August 30, 31 and September 1st. This Festival is organized entirely by the dedicated members of the Commonwheel Artists Co-op and local volunteers. Approximately 100 juried artists and craftsmen will be invited to showcase their work at the 51st Annual Commonwheel Artist Labor Day Art Festival. Admission to this event is free so it is well attended. The show dates coincide with the Labor Day Weekend holiday that is often the time many visitors have scheduled a final summer trip in Colorado.
Visitors and our artists have been known to express their appreciation in many ways for this well-organized festival. They often comment upon how the carefully juried artists who display a wide variety of high-quality American-made fine art and contemporary crafts makes this truly a Fine Art Festival.
The Commonwheel Artists Annual Labor Day Art Festival has been a leading example of sustainability and waste diversion over the last 13 years. We strive to be a Waste-Wise event by recycling as much waste generated at this festival as possible.
Promotion and advertising are top priorities. The Festival has many long-time media sponsors that help us to get the Festival’s message out using TV, print, social media, radio & more. For 50 years, it has been considered the premier outdoor Art Festival in the Pikes Peak Region.

The Commonwheel Artist Labor Day Art Festival is located in scenic Manitou Springs Memorial Park, next to Fountain Creek with views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding hills. Manitou Springs has been designated both as a Historic District and a Creative District.
It is a favorite tourist area for locals and visitors from all over the country. It is just a short distance to the west of Colorado Springs of Hwy 24. Art patrons from the Denver, Pueblo and Colorado Springs regions find their way to this free event nestled in the heart of the foothills west of Colorado Springs. The Art Festival attracts many art patrons to take an end of summer trip to discover fine art, and enjoy a bit of local music played on the stage.

Applications open January 1st.
All booth spaces are outside on grass or wood chips. NO Electricity is available for artist booths.
A) The application fee is $40 and is non-refundable. Your credit card will be charged immediately for this fee. You must pay $40 for each juried category in the show. Example: If a person wants to apply in both Painting and Jewelry, make an $80 payment for the application fee. Only the categories accepted by the Jury may be displayed.
B) Artist Booth fee is due within 10 days after acceptance.
Single: 10 x 10 = $425
Double: 10 x 20 = $850
C) Food Vendors must apply using a paper application that can be downloaded from the Festival website. Electricity is available for Food Vendor Booths in the Food Court.
• Single 12 x 14 = $385
• Food Vendor Booth fee is due within 10 days after acceptance.
• All insurance and tax license forms are due by June 30th.
• No Food Trucks will be accepted.
